  • Formerly consultant with special interest in maternal Medicine at Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, UK 2006-2010

  • Underwent training in Maternal Medicine and Obstetric Ultrasound at St. James’s University Hospital Leads under mentorship of Prof JJ Walker and Dr. Mike Weston (2003-2006)



Publications and Work:

  • Presented and co-authored 15 papers at state, national and international conference

  • 15 publications on SLE, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Ig A Nephropathy, HUS, GDM, PIGF, Aneuploidy screening & FGR including 3 textbook chapters.

  • Authored over 20 hospital guidelines. Some of them were on Diabetes, Hypertension, thromboembolism, Stillbirth, Fetal postmortem, Autoimmune disorders, Sickle cell Anemia, Fetal growth surveillance & preterm.



Achievements and Awards:

  • Treasurer, Indian South Zone RCOG Coordinating Committee 2017-2020.

  • Active role in conducting fetal medicine & perinatal multidisciplinary meetings, organizing committees for national and international CME, workshops and conferences

  • Designed and coordinated several continuing medical education programs (CME), short courses/ workshops in Obstetrics. Some of the topics include ‘Perinatal mental Health short online course for Obstetricians’. ‘Clinical Genetics for Obstetricians and Gynecologists’, ‘Neonatology for Obstetricians’, ‘Advanced Intrapartum care workshop for nurses’, ‘Doppler in Obstetrics’

  • Invited faculty for around 100 meetings on several aspects of Obstetrics including Obstetric Medicine, Fetal Growth Restriction and Perinatology.

  • Four conference papers on maternal cardiac disease, gestational diabetes, fetal growth restriction and adolescent anemia. She also won best paper awards at the FOGSI & OGSSI annual conferences.
