Pregnancy acts as a stress test for certain disorders, such as pre-existing impaired glucose tolerance and cardiovascular disease, and provides a window to predict future metabolic and cardiovascular risk. There is sufficient evidence to suggest that women with gestational diabetes or preeclampsia are at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in the future. This session will help us understand the cardiovascular and metabolic risks in women with preeclampsia and hyperglycemia in pregnancy. Adenomyosis impacts endometrial receptivity by altering uterine peristalsis, vascularity, and endometrial function. This is thought to result from disruption of the junctional zone; however, the precise mechanisms by which adenomyosis affects implantation are not fully understood. By incorporating a detailed sonographic assessment of both adenomyosis and endometrial receptivity parameters, this complex subject can be made more understandable. In addition, hormonal, immunological, and molecular alterations play a significant role in adenomyosis, and immune response is also intricately involved in endometrial receptivity. This presentation aims to simplify the interaction of these various factors involved in implantation and the impact of adenomyosis on them, with ultrasound correlation.
